British Drifting Championship 2018 Announced

The British Drift Championship (BDC) is celebrating 10 years as the UK’s premier drift organisation. During this time, the sport of competitive drifting has developed immensely and it is one of the most professionally organised entertainment-based motorsports accessible to the public.

The BDC has broken attendance and viewership records for the last two seasons on the bounce, attracting over 3 million online viewers during the 2017 season. Due to the insanely talented drivers and extremely passionate fanbase, the BDC  has now entered the Top 5 most popular forms of motorsport in the UK.

Constantly striving to improve and entertain, the 2018 BDC season is ready to once again defy previous expectations. Strap in, hold on and get ready for the mayhem.

Driftland – July 14 & 15, 2018

Time to take the fight North…

No season would be complete without a visit to the mecca of UK drifting, Driftland. This purpose-built drift circuit takes no prisoners and creates an atmosphere like no other.

Every British Drift Championship event in Scotland has been an incredible spectacle, so expect more memorable moments and heart-stopping action when the BDC grid goes into battle once more.

Three Sisters Racing Circuit – September 15 & 16, 2018

Time to find out who is the best DRIVER.

With the rumored shutdown and the lastest announcement of the resurfacing and renovations to Three Sisters Race Circuit. In September it will be hosting round four of the British Drifting Championships. The most technical track of the calendar will prove a great equaliser of horsepower and grip, so this is anyone’s for the taking.

The British Drift Championship will also utilise the most unique drift layout ever attempted at the Wigan circuit, pushing the cars and the drivers to their limits.

Rockingham Motor Speedway – October 20 & 21, 2018

Could the finale of a drift series be more intense than this?

2 Championships. 5 Countries. 1 Event. 1 Winner.

The British Drift Championship and Irish Drift Championship go head to head at Rockingham Motor Speedway with the pride of each nation on the line. BDC championship hopefuls will have to overcome their bitter overseas rivals and the rest of the BDC roster in order to claim their £20,000 championship prize fund.

“In preparing for the future, it is important to not forget our past. The sport has evolved a great deal in the past 10 years and is now in a very positive position to now advance beyond previous limitations.

We are encouraging all UK drift fans to come experience the new British Drift Championship in person and support your national series. The atmosphere and excitement at each event are indescribable and we believe 2018 will further showcase the potential of this unorthodox motorsport. We constantly aim to improve every aspect of the series and break through each glass ceiling, but we cannot do it alone.

It’s time for all automotive enthusiasts to believe in this anti-establishment form of motorsport and prove that people-power can achieve great things. The rising talent within the BDC needs your encouragement and in return, they are ready, willing and able to accept any challenge or danger thrown at them this year.

The fuse is now lit, so let’s fan the flames. I will see you all at the start line.”
